Mario Golf Controller Layout & Button Combinations

Controls

D-Pad: Move cursor, change club, adjust shot
A button: Start swing, confirm selection
B button: Cancel selection, bring up overhead view
L button: Cycle through golfers
R button: View caddy advice
Select button: Change camera angle
Start button: Pause game, access menu

During the swing, you'll need to time your button presses for maximum power and accuracy. Here's the basic swing control scheme:

Press A button to start the swing.
Press A button again when the power meter reaches the desired level.
Press A button a third time to set the accuracy.
If you want to add spin, use the D-pad after the second button press to add spin in the desired direction.

Keep in mind that different clubs and terrain will affect your shot, so you'll need to adjust your aim and power accordingly. Good luck on the course!
