D-pad: Move character
A button: Confirm/Interact
B button: Cancel/Run
Start button: Open menu
Select button: Switch characters in the party

 

Final Fantasy 2:

D-pad: Move character
A button: Confirm/Interact
B button: Cancel/Run
Start button: Open menu
Select button: Switch characters in the party

During battle:
A button: Attack/Confirm command
B button: Cancel command
L button: Defend
R button: Change target

Note: These controls are the same for both games in the Dawn of Souls collection.
