Ace Combat Advance Controller Layout & Button Combos

This page includes the Controller Layout for Ace Combat Advanced as well as all of the Button Combos that you need to know when playing the game!

 

 

 

Controller Layout:

D-Pad or Left Analog Stick - Move aircraft or cursor
A Button - Fire weapons, confirm menu selections
B Button - Perform a barrel roll, cancel menu selections
L Button - Deploy flares
R Button - Switch targets
Start Button - Pause, access menu
Select Button - Nothing

 

Basic Actions:

Move the D-Pad or Left Analog Stick: Move the aircraft or cursor.
Press A: Fire the equipped weapon or confirm menu selections.
Press B: Perform a barrel roll or cancel menu selections.

 

Combat:

Hold R: Lock onto a target.
Press R: Switch between locked targets.
Hold A and press B: Perform a special weapon attack.
Hold L: Deploy flares to evade enemy missiles.

 

Advanced Actions:

Double tap the D-Pad or Left Analog Stick in a direction: Perform a quick turn in that direction.
Hold L and press B: Perform a u-turn.
Press A while performing a u-turn: Perform a counterattack.

 

Menu Navigation:

Use the D-Pad or Left Analog Stick to highlight menu options.
Press A to confirm menu selections.
Press B to cancel menu selections.
Press Start to pause the game and access the menu.
