Sonic Battle Controller Layout & Button Combinations

Controls

D-Pad: Move Sonic
A button: Attack
B button: Jump
R button: Block
L button: Dash
Select: Switch characters in Story mode
Start: Pause game

In addition to these basic controls, Sonic Battle also features a unique system of "Battle Cards" that allow you to customize your character's moves and abilities. The controls for using Battle Cards are as follows:

Press the L button to open the Battle Card menu.
Use the D-Pad to select the Battle Card you want to use.
Press the A button to confirm your selection.
Use the D-Pad to select the direction you want to use the Battle Card in.
Press the A button to use the Battle Card.

Note: That each Battle Card has a different effect, so be sure to experiment and find the ones that work best for you!
