Bypass Hedge & Terris Thule Flag (Plane of Knowledge)
After you complete the Sewers of Nihilia tasks given to you by High Priest Diru Riwirn, you'll be able to start the second part of GoD Progression which involves Vxed and Tipt. This mission is the second part of the progression, speak with Apprentice Udranda in Barindu to begin this mission.
Much like all the previous missions, the enemies throughout this expedition do respawn and they hit for about 1.2k max with some of the nameds hitting for up to 1.5 - 1.7k. In order to get one of the named enemies to spawn throughout this expedition you'll first need to defeat 9 - 12 mobs of that type. An example is, to get Umbiki the cragbeast to spawn you'll need to defeat 9 - 12 cragbeasts first.
For those of you who don't need to see the full strategy for this task, here is quick list of each step required to complete it.
Objectives for Tipt, the Treacherous Crag (Progression):
1. Defeat all the ghosts and hail Garjah Zotaki
2. Collect the Harshly Spiked Key
3. Speak with and solve the riddle given to you by Rikabi the Riddler
4. Use the Harshly Spiked Key to open the gate and defeat Kyv Heartstriker Jhiru
5. Speak with Stonespiritist Okkanu
The first part of this task is very straight forward. All you need to do is travel to the north where you see 'Garjah Zotaki' on my map above and defeat all of the ghost enemies in this area. When you're done, Garjah Zotaki will spawn. Hail her and this will trigger the next part of the task to become available.
In the next area you'll find more enemies, some of which spawn as a result of hailing Garjah. What we're looking for in this group of enemies is for one to drop the item, Harshly Spiked Key since this is required for a later part of the quest. Also, Rikabi the Riddler won't talk to you until you've acquired this key either.
This next part is probably the most memorable part of the entire GoD Progression, you'll need to have one person in your party speak to Rikabi the Riddler and get a riddle from him. In order to solve the riddle you'll need to pick up the items that spawn around Rikabi and hand him the correct one. If you choose the wrong item a bunch of mephits spawn that hit for 300,000 damage each - unmitigated! That means they'll even destroy people who are playing on live servers... and your pets.
On the upside, the enemies can be snared and they do not summon... Which means if you accidentally do spawn them you can easily take them out assuming you have some ranged attacks.
You will NOT get a success message upon handing Rikabi the appropriate item. Do not hand him the same item twice assuming the turn in did not work!!! He will summon the mephits on you as if you handed him the wrong item if you do this!!
If you're stuck on the riddle that Rikabi gives you; below I have included all of the different riddles that Rikabi gives. Go through each of them and find yours, then you'll know which item to give to Rikabi.
(Pearl) Lovely and round, I shine with pale light, grown in darkness, a lady's delight.
(Feather) I scribble forms of the finest letter, and repel elements of the harshest weather. I am an arrow-aimer and a dust-breaker.
(Wine) When young, I am sweet in the sun. When middle-aged, I make you happy. When old, I am valued more than ever.
(Catfish) My mouth bears whiskers but no teeth. I have scales but I do not weigh. You can bait me with delicious food but please, no drink today.
(Candle) My life is measured in hours. I serve by being devoured. Thin, I am quick, Fat I am slow. Wind is my foe.
(Bubble) It floats on water, light as can be. A thousand men can't lift it free.
(Rose) I'm offered to the loved, and also to the dead. I come in many varied hues, most notably red. My pricks are known to pierce the skin, often resulting in wounds that bled.
(Right hand) What can be held in the left hand, but not in the right hand.
(Fire) I'm always hungry, I must always be fed, The finger I lick will soon turn red.
(Coffin) Who makes has no need of it, who buys has no use of it and who uses it can neither see nor feel it.
(Cork) I help to mature your spirits. When moistened I fulfill my purpose. Should I dry out, my task will fail and my quarry may be worthless.
(Sand) I build up castles. I tear down mountains. I make some men blind, I help others to see. What am I?
(Glove) When I am filled I can point the way. When I am empty nothing moves me, I have two skins one without and one within.
(Gold) I drive men mad for love of me, Easily beaten, never free.
(Firework) Searing 'cross the pitch-black skies, I scream in celebration, yet moments later, my outbursts through, I am naught but imagination.
I feel that it's worth repeating... You will NOT get a success message upon handing Rikabi the appropriate item. Do not hand him the same item twice assuming the turn in did not work!!! He will summon the mephits on you as if you handed him the wrong item if you do this!!
After you turn in the correct item to Rikabi, you'll be able to open the door and proceed. That's the only way to tell if you did the correct turn in.
A little bit past Rikabi you'll come across a large metal gate. The person who looked the Harshly Spiked Key earlier will need to open it. This is the final part of the expedition and also where the task locks. Upon defeating Kyv Hearstriker Jhiru the task will lock and you'll be unable to add new players.
This named can be a real pain in the ass for weaker groups. Try to defeat as many of the adds in his room before you actually pull him since he hits very hard by himself - extra mobs will greatly complicate things. It's also recommended that you do not pull him very far away from where he spawns as he'll apparently start to hit even harder if you do.
Kyv Heartstriker Jhiru Battle Info:
Max Hit: 2,100 with single target rampages
Once you take out Kyv Heartstriker Jhiru cross the bridge and hail Master Stonespiritist Okkanu to complete the expedition and receive your character flags. Behind Master Stonespiritist Okkanu you'll find a little plaque which you can click on to zone out back to Barindu.
You aren't completely finished yet! Speak with Scribe Gurru in Barindu and he will convert your temporary character flag to a permanent one. After you do that, you'll be done with this stage of the GoD Progression and you'll now have access to Kod'Taz.
