Crypt of Decay - Post Mercenary Leveling Guide
Crypt of Decay is a really tough location if you're solo - even if you have a merc. During this level range is when your tank mercenary really starts to lose his edge on the mobs you're fighting. Until now if you had a Journeyman Tank Mercenary he was basically able to solo any red you came across.
In order to progress from this point onwards you should expect to play a role and assist your Mercenary in killing the enemies. If you came to Crypt of Decay at level 55 - 60 you're going to need gear in order to survive. Without at least 3/4 of your slots filled the mobs here will probably be too much for you.
Those who are 60 - 65 with at least some gear will be able to get the most out of this zone. I recommend you hang out at the entrance if you're solo; you'll want to be nearby the zoneline incase anything goes wrong or you get too many mobs during a pull. If you're a boxer you can move a bit further in to the north, I would recommend the Bubonians in the tunnels for some fantastic EXP during these levels.
This zone will offer you a great deal of vendor trash in the form of gems and outdated Tradeskill Items. I recommend you loot it all especially since the TS items now stack to 1000 instead of the old 20. This makes micro managing your inventory a whole lot less cumbersome.
If you're still in this zone 65 - 70 I recommend you only do the Bubonians to the north of where you zone in at. You'll never run out of mobs to kill and these guys are great money and EXP even as far as level 75. Once you out level them by that much too you'll be able to start plowing through them.

- Players can find the Ruins of Lxanvom (Crypt of Decay) zone line in northeastern Plane of Tranqulity.
- Two items that drop from this zone Bubonian Blood, Lepertoloth Bone Segment are used in crafting one of the items used in the Artisan's Prize quest.
- If you're having trouble managing your Inventory Space I highly recommend you invest in some Extraplanar Trade Satchels which are 32 Slot Tradeskill Bags. Alternatively you could also buy Unexpanded Tailored Backpacks as well. Though, the Backpacks will likely be more expensive. Follow the links provided to learn more about each item.
