Oceangreen Hills Leveling Guide 80 - 85
Note: This guide was written during 2008 when Underfoot was the main expansion pack. It may be inaccurate for players currently on live. It contains a lot of information, some of which may still be useful to players which is why I have decided to preserve the guide. If you haven't already I recommend you read my Oceangreen Hills Leveling Guide.
Oceangreen Hils, more commonly known has (OGH) is littered with relatively weak animals for players to kill. In fact this is the first and lowest level zone that the relatively weak animals were available to be killed. To tell if a mob is relatively weak you need to con it first. To do this right click on the mob and look under it's agression level to you to see if it says relatively weak, if it does, you know it is. Also as I mention in all of my other guides that include the relatively weak mobs...
If you are new to the whole relatively weak con on these mobs, it means that the mobs hit for much less and have much less HP than regular mobs. Pretty much they are weaker than a regular mob of this level in every single way possible.
Also since these mobs are weaker than all other mobs of their level as you could have guessed they do give less XP than usual. I suspect that these mobs were added for people who accidentally blew through the earlier levels and didn't get any AAs and now are severly gimped and now need to make up for where they went wrong.
Now that you know exactly what a relatively weak mob is and you know how to indentify them out of a crowd you can get started in your hunt for them. For this guide we are only going to be killing the relatively weak mobs because this particular guide is working under the assumption you can't handle the normal mobs of this level. Don't worry there is nothing wrong with this, plenty of people level too fast and don't stop for enough AAs and are forced to focus on killing the relatively weak mobs instead, this is why the relatively weak mobs were created!
Map of the Oceangreen Hills Animals Camp
In the map above the three blue circles are the main areas you will want to pull the relatively weak animals I have been talking about from. The black circle on the map is the area you will be making your camp. You'll be able to tell this area apart from the rest because it is a cave entrance which leads to another part of the zone that we do not want to venture into as of now. Anyway, back on topic. If you are at all familiar with OGH you may be wondering why I am telling you to stay strictly up north when there are relatively weak mobs all around the zone.
I assure you I have a perfect answer for this...
After hours of research and days of mathematical calculations and contacting the best neurophysicists in the world I have come to the conclusion that this is the best location for players to be and the best areas to pull from that will result in the least amount of non-relatively weak adds. Either way you will still want to keep an eye out for Poachers, zombies, skeletons, gnolls and animals that do not con relatively weak to you. Like I said, it's the safest place, but it's still not 100% safe.
