The Jewel of Atiiki - The Buried Sea Guide

Jewel of Atiiki Main Area

The Jewel of Atiiki is a zone only reached by taking a portal from the outskirts of Katta Castrum. Most of this zone is covered in a desert and has relatively weak scarabs/dervish enemies roaming around throughout, these will make easy pickings for anyone who is under geared for this level range or not in a group.

Around the pyramids to the north as well as on the ramps leading down the central pit you'll find many different efreeti enemies. These guys will typically come in pulls of two or three and they are not relatively weak. Depending on how well prepared you are, these guys might provide a challenge.

In the central portion of the zone at the bottom of the pit you'll find many different scarabs/beetles all of which are relatively weak. If you can keep it together and avoid the efreetis in the area, this makes a pretty good hunting spot for small groups/soloers.

Cragnarl: Scarab Shell Raiment (Back), Sphinx Feathered Mask

Rockstorm: Right Eye of Ateleka (Aug), Spiked Platinum Stud (Ear)

Glutakan: Platinum Efreeti Pauldrons, Cursed Efreeti Bones (Range) + Platinum Efreeti Stuff

Jewel of Atiiki Temples
Jewel of Atiiki Southern Temple

At the northern most portion of the zone you'll find three large temples which can only be accessed by standing on the teleporter above them. Surrounding these temples are many efreeti enemies, which we talked about above. In addition to the three temples up north, there's one down south and another smaller one to the east near where we zoned in at.

Inside each of these temples you'll encounter many different efreeti enemies, it's uncommon to find them in single pulls unless you're in the hallway so you best bring a group if you plan to tackle these temples. You'll also find bug traps throughout these temples, each of them spring anywhere from 4 to 5 little scarabs when stepped on. Due to these bug traps and the multiple pulls of efreetis I only recommend this area to full groups or boxers.

Now that we've run down the basics of these temples, let's tak about what's in them. As you can see from the many different maps I have above, there's tons of "Hand of Tutenkamen" egyptian names throughout the maps. Inside each temple there's at least one of these named enemies and each of them typically drop some rare loot or quest loot for this era. I've included a list of all the Hand enemies below and what they drop, all of the northern temples are roughly the same difficulty, the southern most temple is probably the hardest due to its size more named enemies.
