Everquest - Profiting off of Collectibles Guide

The reason I decided to make this guide here to go along with my other Collectibles guides is because a massive huge part of making good money off of Collectibles is knowing how to price them and knowing how to work The Bazaar in your favor while you're pricing them. You're going to be buying a lot of Collectibles while you are pricing the ones you have so be prepared to spend a little bit of plat. It's important you buy some of them so that you decide the pricing of the items. It's extremely important that you make up the prices you want because if you don't you will not nearly make as much as you would otherwise.

Don't worry, this guide is here for my to teach you exactly what to do and what to look for to do this properly. To get started take a look at the picture below. This is an easy one that I would like to point out to you. First up, the Slowridex is a numbskull when it comes to prices. I can tell you this from personal experience. He undercuts a dramatic amount and doing so causes him to lose huge amounts of plat.

Now, say you had an Ankle Bone and you see these prices up on The Bazaar. What do you do? What you want to do is buy out all of the Ankle Bones for 1500 plat and price yours at 4500 plat. This will give you quite a few to sell at a solid price. Chances are if anyone under cuts you it will be with just 1 Ankle Bone and it will most likely sell in time for you to get a few sales before another one would pop up undercutting you again.

If you don't get any sales for awhile, feel free to check the prices again on whatever item it is that is not selling. Items will naturally devalue within the economy, it's just basic economics. Keep this in mind and make sure to reprice your items regularly. Now that you have a really basic item down and understand the basics of repricing items, let's take a look at an item that is slightly different.

A Young Chetari Statue can be seen in the picture below.

Notice how this item is priced at 25k, 25k, 20k and than 5k. What would you do? I recommend buying out the item for 5k and pricing it for 20k matching the price of Ganra. Since he only has one up yours will be in a tie with his to sell first. If you really want yours to sell first price it at 18000 - 19500 depending on where you wanna undercut too. I almost never recommend pricing the items at 1pp less because I know a few people that buy items for 1pp more just to combat the rude individuals that undercut by 1pp.

Now as a final lesson on what to do depending on what you see in The Bazaar. This lesson is going to cover what you should do if you search for an item and absolutely nothing appears in the search window! What you want to do is look up the item in your Collectibles tab. Find it in here and find where the collectible is located in the long list of collectibles. Below is a picture of a Chapterhouse set of collectibles. The bottom item on the list of collectibles is always the most rare one. If your collectible is this one I usually price it between 75 - 150k, sometimes more depending on how rare I think it is.

Remember, you can always lower the price but never raise it if it sells.

Over time you will start to learn the prices of all the collectibles. I like to go through on a different box every day or so and buy the ones I am missing whenever I see them up for cheap. I very strongly recommend you do this over a one week period and try your best to remember the prices as you do. This will teach you the prices of all these collectible items and also fill in any blanks you might have on a few characters, getting you some AAs and other goodies!
