The Source of the Ethernere - CoTF Collectibles Achievement

For this achievement you need to collect four sets of collectibles from Ethernere: Tainted West Karana. There are more than just these four sets of collectibles in Ethernere: Tainted West Karana but since CoTF was released in two parts and the other collection sets weren't added until the second half of the expansion released... Well - that's why it was broken into two parts!

Three of these collectible sets are found as ground spawns throughout the zone. Luckily the clusters that you can find these collectibles in are rather predictable and dense which makes finding them all a piece of cake. As for the last collectible set, that drops from the man-spider like creatures in the far southeastern portion of Ethernere.

 

Ethernere Remnants (Ethernere: Tainted West Karana)

These collectibles are found in the eastern portion of Ethernere: Tainted West Karana the first zone in Call of the Forsaken. Use my map above for some guidance. Watch out for the few enemies that see invis in this area, the floating stone heads and sometimes a humanoid enemy are the only creatures that I have run into that can see through invis.

In the two areas I have marked on the map, you can't avoid the see invis enemies so you'll need to eliminate them or pull them away and return before they do to safely collect the items.

Geological Discoveries (Ethernere: Tainted West Karana)

You can find these collectibles in the western portion of Ethernere: Tainted West Karana. They're typically found in the lava area shown on my map above. None of the regular mobs see invis in this area, if a named is up they may see through invis.

The Geological Discoveries collection set can appear both in the lava and on the riverbed. I'd recommend diving into the lava every once in awhile and looking around with your camera for any Glowing Globes. As for the northern most village, you'll have to search all over the place here. They can even spawn sometimes up above on the ramps. I rarely if ever found any spawning down in the pits though or the cave that runs under this city area.

Influence of the Ethernere (Ethernere: Tainted West Karana)

In the far eastern portion of this zone you'll find ursarachnid enemies mixed in with the occasional orafik (who named these things? The same guy who did GoD?). These are what you'll want to farm for the Influence of Ethernere collectibles set. You won't have to spend very long here to get the full set, in my experience they're all very common drops.

Scattered Civilization (Ethernere: Tainted West Karana)

On the western side of Ethernere: Tainted West Karana you'll find two different collectible sets to farm, Scattered Civilizations and Geological Discoveries. Scattered Civilizations has many different spawn points in the southern portion of Ethernere as well as in the northern.

You'll want to check the small buildings on the lake, the river beds, the walkways and even the roofs of some of the buildings down south. Collectibles can spawn in many different places throughout this entire portion of the zone.
