When the mission first begins you'll want to clear all enemies you find and grab the Nailgun + the Double-barrelled Shotgun. Once you're done with the enemies you'll need to jump into the water near the locked Silver Keycard Door and swim through the tunnels across from it. First, swim through the whole tunnel to the big room on the other side. You'll find a Wetsuit as well as some Empathy Shields in this room, grab both along with any thing else you need.

Return to the tunnel and this time surface at the midway point to find an elevator. Use the elevator and press the button in this hallway to activate the force field bridge and open the nearby door. You'll find yourself back in the large room nearby where you began. This time exit the room through the other hallway and run across the force field bridge that you just made.

This bridge will lead you straight to the Silver Keycard; across from the Silver Keycard you will see a door. On the other side of this door you will find the alternative exit which leads you to the Military Complex mission. We'll talk about that when we get closer to the end of the mission.

After getting the Silver Keycard jump into the water and swim through the tunnel to reach the other side. Use the keycard on the Silver Keycard Door to open it and blast away the enemies that you find in the next area. Grab the Rocket Launcher here too for some extra ammo. Hit the button to open the door above you and raise a staircase so you can climb up.

Follow the linear route forward until you reach a button, pressing this will activate some platforms in the adjacent room. These platforms will let you access two new areas, the first of which is the hallway that leads to the locked Gold Keycard Door. The second is the hallway across from this one, it will lead you to Secret #1 as well as the Super Nailgun.

Start with the Secret #1 and Super Nailgun, grab both of these and use the Quad Damage to clear out the large room where Secret #2 is found. Grab the second secret and also grab the Gold Keycard that is right above it. With both of these in hand continue down the hallway near where we got the Gold Keycard and you'll find a Proximity Gun and a drop down back to the large central room near the start of the level.

Now is when you have two different paths to exit this mission, you can go through the Gold Keycard Door and exit the mission the "normal" way... Or you can discover Secret #3 and use the alternative exit that you find in this location. The normal exit will take you straight to HIP1M3: The Lost Mine and the secret exit will take you to HIP1M5: Military Complex.

I recommend you use the secret exit because that's the only way you can play both missions, you'll do HIP1M5 first and HIP1M3 after that.

Secret Exit to the Military Complex

 

Secret #1

Secret #1: The first secret you'll find on this level is above the first room that you start in. You'll need to shoot the wall here to open up the space, inside you'll find some Quad Damage. You'll have to use the thin ledge to reach this power up, don't fall down or it's wasted!

 

Secret #2

Secret #2: Right after the area with the first secret you'll find a room with tons of enemies and tons of boxes. This secret is found by jumping on top of a stack of boxes and going between them to reach some armor.

 

Secret #3

Secret #3: You'll find the button for this secret at the start of the level but you can't do anything with it until later on in the mission. When you hit this button it will create a bridge over top of the force-field like bridge that we ran over previously in the mission. To reach this new bridge you will need to launch a Proximity Mine onto the button pictured and then run through the level to where you got the Silver Keycard. Stand here and wait for your mine to explode, that will activate the switch and create the bridge for you to cross.

This secret leads to the alternative exit for this level which takes you to the Military Complex mission.
