Neverwinter Nights Guides & Walkthroughs
Neverwinter Under Siege is a side quest that begins by speaking with Trancor inside of the Trade of Blades building. This building used house all of your Henchman but during this chapter that’s no longer the case. In this chapter you're stuck with the Henchman you finished Chapter 3 with. You’ll find Trancor near the door in and out of the building, ask him about the enemy forces and how you can help to start this quest.
For this quest you will have to go to the War Zone map and destroy 3 Catapults, 2 Siege Golems and 2 Wizards. The Siege Golems are the first thing you'll come into contact with and they'll be really tough enemies since they're immune to Physical damage and have tons of HP. A lot of guides online say you can only destroy the Siege Golems by defeating the Wizards but I find that to be inaccurate. If you're playing on an older version of the game where this is the case my recommendation to you would be to run inside the Wizard buildings ASAP and eliminate them.
Each Catapult is protected by a Catapult Commander enemy whom you’ll need to dispatch first before you are able to destroy the Catapult. You can find all 3 Catapults in the central part of the War Zone. As for the Wizards, you can find them inside of buildings throughout the War Zone map. Use my screenshot below if you need help locating anything in the War Zone area.
The Wizards you fight inside of the buildings are no push over either. Each Wizard will be protected by a Balor enemy and can use spells that will cause instant death to you or your companions. It's highly recommended you save before fighting each Wizard and after just incase you end up getting insta killed by them. Or swap to a piece of gear that protects you from Death magic.
As aforementioned as well each time you defeat one of these Wizards the Siege Golem that they control will be defeated with them. I honestly recommend you take out the Siege Golems first that way you get EXP from them too. If you defeat the Wizards first then you'll only get EXP for the Wizard and not the Siege Golem.
Note: There is apparently a bug with this quest where sometimes the golem bodies will not disappear when you defeat them. This will result in the quest bugging out and becoming uncompletable. From what I read online people had this happen to them when killing the Siege Golems before the Wizards... However for me it was the opposite. When I took out the final Wizard the Siege Golem was also defeated but the body never despawned and my quest got bugged.
When you're finished eliminating all of the targets for this quest return to Trancor and speak with him to complete the quest and claim your reward.
