Five Tomes of Imaskar - NWN Side Quest (Chapter 2)
The Port Llast: Five Tomes of Imaskar side quest begins by speaking with Eltoora Sarptyl in the northern portion of Port Llast. You can find Eltoora ontop of a small hill, ask her about potential work and she'll offer this task up to you. Aside from giving you this quest Eltoora will also act as the magic vendor for the entirety of the Main Campaign.
For this quest you are tasked with finding 5 books throughout Chapter 2. Each of these books is spread out and in a different location so you'll need to be thorough to locate all 5.
Tome of Fire: This tome is found in Castle Jhareg - Karlat's Chambers; you'll have to visit this area during the Charwood: The Village of Eternal Night side quest.
Tome of Death: This tome is found in Castle Jhareg - Quint's Chambers; you'll have to visit this area during the Charwood: The Village of Eternal Night side quest.
Tome of Life: This tome is found inside of the Arcane Brother's Tomb in the northeastern portion of North Road - Green Griffon Inn map.
Tome of Ice: For this tome you'll have to visit Wanev's Tower, it's found in a bookcase on the Main Floor of this tower.
Tome of Resonance: You can find the Tome of Resonance inside of Setara's Home which is located in the Neverwinter Wood - Heart of the Forest map.
Tome of Life Location
The Tome of Life is found inside of the Arcane Brother's Tomb which is found in the northeastern portion of the North Road - Green Griffon Inn map. When you first find this tomb it'll start out locked, you'll have to speak with the Caretaker in a nearby building (pictured above) and pay him for access to the tomb. He'll sell you the key for 200g (or lower) if you bargain with him.
Inside the tomb you'll find a Corpse Hand which is part of a Henchman side quest, Grimgnaw's Tale. This item is found in a chest near the entrance, follow the link for exact details. In the northwestern portion of the Arcane Brotherhood Tomb you'll find Brother Toras who drops the Tome of Life when defeated - which is the item we're here for.
Tome of Fire & Tome of Death
You can find both the Tome of Fire and the Tome of Death inside of Castle Jhareg. This entire area is involved in the Charwood: The Village of Eternal Night side quest and you will need to accept this quest to access the locations with the books we need. If you want details about that quest I recommend you head over to that page.
To reach Castle Jhareg you will want to first go to the South Road map then continue east to Charwood. Go through Charwood until you find yourself at the Charwood Village map which is just outside of Castle Jhareg. Begin the Charwood: The Village of Eternal Night side quest then head inside of Castle Jhareg to obtain the 2 books.
Each tome is found in a different tower, you'll find the Imaskarran Tome of Death inside of Quint's Chambers and Imaskarran Tome of Fire inside of Karlat's Chambers. I've included map locations of both books below so you don't have to search the entire area for them.
