Metro 2033 Redux: Walkthrough - Chapter 6
This page includes walkthroughs for every mission in Chapter 6 of Metro 2033 Redux. My guide will provide you with videos for each mission along with a written guide to explain where every Diary and Moral Point you can find is. In order to get the Enlightened Ending you'll need to beat the game with 50+ Moral Points; this means being stealthy on most missions and avoiding killing humans.
My videos don't take the stealthy route through each mission since that would take much longer and the path we all use will be different while stealth. They will show you where all the Safe Keys and Safes are found and how to complete the mission. My written walkthrough on the other hand, will include everything. I provide you with multiple strategies on some missions (like the Library) and additional videos to show you where certain easter eggs are (like on the Front Line mission).

This mission begins with you on a rail car, you'll be listening to others speak before you collapse. During the vision run towards the Dark One for a Moral Point. When you wake up there will be a scene during which you'll be given a Flamethrower. A large group of Nosalis will attack you, defeat them all and finish riding the rail car to your destination.
Switch your Flamethrower with the previous weapon you had (if desired) and then disembark the rail car. In the room to your right you'll find a Diary, once you grab that return to everyone else and the level will end.

Follow the group until you reach a closed door, Miller will ask you to flip the switch but nothing will happen. After you do that go through the gate into the adjoining room and interact with the power control panel to restore power to the gate. Make sure you search the box on the wall in this room for the Safe Key, we'll be using this in a bit.
Return to Miller and flip the switch again, this time you will open the gate. For these next few parts you will be following your unit through the tunnels and engaging many Nosalis in each big room. When you reach another dead end flip the switch on the wall to open the blast door, rinse and repeat.
When you open the second blast door there will be a scene, during which Boris blows himself up for no reason. Turn left from Boris' body and look for a Diary ontop of a box. After opening the third blast door Artyom will be separated from the crew. You'll be introduced to a new enemy during this part, Spiders.
They are weak to light, if you shine your light at them they will scurry away. If they are exposed to light for long enough they will flip over and expose their under belly which is the most vulnerable part of their bodies. In the area with the Spiders is where you'll find the Safe that the key we got earlier opens. The safe is found in a small room; you'll have to break down the doors to gain access.
After looting the Safe the next thing we need to locate is a drop down which takes us into the sewers below. You will eventually come to a cave-like area with wooden planks acting as ramps. Look down into the crevice here for another Diary. Take out your Compass and follow the arrow to the end of this mission. You'll find everyone waiting for you after which a subway train will arrive and take you to the next mission.

When the mission first begins you'll find a Diary, pick it up. After this, follow Miller and crew to your next objective. You can explore as much as you want - once you get near Miller he will begin the next part of this escort. Follow Miller to a control room up a set of stairs, use the power box in this room to turn some of the lights on then open the door and go upstairs.
You will need to follow Miller's instructions for this part and open the case of each battery and then activate them in the order he says. Each time you play this mission the order will change - but all panels are numbered. Return to Miller once you have activated all four batteries. There will be a scene in the control room with Miller after which you'll need to follow him down to an elevator.
Board the elevator with Miller and ride it down; when it stops you'll need to interact with the electrical box on the wall to restore power. This will cause the yellow truck to ram the door and open it. Search the room that it opens thoroughly, there is tons of ammo lying around and other supplies. There is also a small room adjacent to this one which is where you'll find the Safe Key.
Follow your team into the computer room nearby, there will be another scene in here. This room is also where you'll find another Diary and the Safe that the key we just got opens. The Diary will be near the computers and the Safe is found in the back of the room, you shouldn't have trouble finding either.
During this next part you'll be following Miller, you'll ride another elevator down and then you'll be in (what was previously) the worst part of this game. Amoebas are the new type of enemy that you will encounter down here. They are basically slow moving balls that explode when they get to you - they're hatched from the egg sac looking things on the walls in this area.
If you shoot the egg sac thing on the wall before the amoeba hatches you will prevent it from spawning. Miller has infinite HP though, if you'd like to let him eat all of them he will. There is an Achievement to kill 5 though, so you may want to get that. At some point Miller will say "this is the lift, I hope it still works". When this happens look down the dark tunnel that's left of the lift. You'll see a yellow railcar which is where you can get the next Diary.
Keep following Miller and you will eventually reach a crane. Artyom will have to get inside the crane and use it to turn the power back on. When you are riding the crane you will need to position it overtop of the three symbols on your computer panel. Each time you do lower the magnet to pull out the rod. Once you're done you'll see two green spots on the panel which tell you where you can disembark. Use the north one, you can jump out here and fall down into the room with Miller.
Follow Miller through the hallway and when you reach the end make sure you grab the Diary inside the box on the wall. Once you ride the next elevator up you can't get back for this unless you restart the level. Ride the elevator up and follow Miller to complete this mission and Chapter.
