Ravasaur Hatchling

Average Gold Per Hour: 75 - 150g
Level Recommended: 55+
Rating: 9/10

NOTE: Changed in patch 3.3 the Ravasaur Hatchling no longer drops from the Ravasaur Matriarch. Instead it will drop from the Ravasaur Matriarch's Nest which spawns in the same area as the Ravasaur Matriarch.

The Ravasaur Hatchling is yet another baby raptor pet that was added in patch 3.2. This one can be found from a nest in Un'goro Crater right around where you do the Ravasaur quests; by the entrance to Tanaris. The nest that holds the Ravasaur Hatchling can be found anywhere in this area, most likely by a tree. Farming for the Ravasaur Hatchling can be extremely profitable depending on the prices of Rugged Leather on your server. On my server (Arthas) a stack of Rugged Leather can sell anywhere from 30 - 40g.

For Horde the Rugged Leather will sell for much more since it is used in the Venomhide Ravasaur quest line right in this general area. Herbalism and Mining will also greatly benefit from farming here. In the area surrounding the raptors you will be able to find both high end herbs and high end ore. Although, finding a mine will be much harder unless you venture down to the southern or eastern point of the raptor grounds and gear near a mountain.

There are two more reasons that this farming location is great. One of them is the fact that the grey items that the raptors drop will sell to vendors for a ton of gold and also the drop rate on Greens here is pretty good. Any greens that you get while farming here you will want to make sure to have Disenchanted and sell the raw materials that you get on the Auction House. The Illusion Dust and Greater Eternal Essences that you can get from Disenchanting an item at this level will sell for much more than the green ever would.
