Golden Pearls & Thick Leather Farming in Hinterlands (Classic - WoTLK)

The turtles in Hinterlands is one of the best locations I've ever found for a skinner to farm. There are turtles all the way up and down the beach spaced only 20 to 30 yards away from each other. Each of the turtles is right around 45 and have a low amount of HP. Anyone level 50 plus will be able to blast through the whole beach of turtles in just a few minutes. Luckily, the spawn time for the turtles is right around a minute, sometimes even less. This means you won't even have to stop for a break if you don't want too!

If you're able to skin the turtles (which you should be able to otherwise you shouldn't be here! =P) you will see your money double and maybe even triple from farming here. When skinned the turtles have a chance to give you Thick Leather and sometimes Rugged Leather. This combined with the high-priced vendor trash you will find here will net you a lot of money very quickly. Along with the Rugged & Thick Leather you will also want to keep an eye out for Big Mouth Clams.

Big Mouth Clams drop quite frequently from the turtles and can contain some extra goodies such as Zesty Clam Meat (used in cooking) & Golden Pearls (used in Enchanting). The Golden Pearls sell on the Auction House quite well since many up and comming Enchanters need them to make their Arcanite Rods. All in all, if you have skinning, this is one location you will want to check out.
