Elemental Fire Farming Locations (Classic - WotLK)

Arguably one of the most important Alchemy reagents for raiding in the early period of Classic WoW is Elemental Fire. These are used in Greater Fire Protection Potions which the majority of raiding guilds require you to bring for Ragnaros attempts. Once Blackwing Lair releases these potions will be even higher in demand as some bosses there will require them too.

Arathi Highlands Elemental Fire Farming Location

This is probably the best location for you to farm Elemental Fire, assuming that you can even find enemies alive here. On High pop servers this location will most likely be perma camped until Phase 5 at which point you can much more easily acquire Elemental Fires through Alchemy.

 

Felwood Elemental Fire Farming Location

If you're on a server where the Arathi Highlands location is typically camped 24/7 then this is the next best place for you to farm. The mobs here are much harder than at the Arathi Highlands location and you'll also have to dodge elite enemies that are in their lower 50s (or defeat them for Essence of Earth) while you're here - but for those reasons a lot less people come to this location.

 

Un'goro Crater Elemental Fire Farming Location

Last but not least, in the dead center of Un'goro Crater you're able to farm Elemental Fires from all of the fire elementals surrounding the volcano here. These guys are typically the least camped of the bunch since they're the highest level fire elementals and most spaced out.
