Greater Shadow Protection Potion Recipe (Classic - WotLK)

The Greater Shadow Protection Potion Recipe is farmed in Eastern Plaguelands off of two different enemies, Shadowmages and Dark Adepts. You can find both of these enemies at camps in two of the enclosed areas of Eastern Plaguelands (shown on my map below). Depending on your server will determine which of the two locations you choose. Keep in mind the one closest to Light's Hope Chapel will be more crowded.

Both of the enemies that drop this pattern have static spawn locations in each of these areas. As you see in the screen shot above, they typically spawn across from each other and they never patrol around. The enemies we need to defeat also share a spawn location with other enemies here, which means you'll need to clear the whole camp, at least until you learn which spawn locations you need and which you don't.

Almost all of the enemies throughout this area drop Invader's Scourgestones, so you'll want to make sure you bring your Argent Dawn trinket with you before coming here. Aside from Scourgestones you'll find a lot of Runecloth while farming here and the usual Major Health/Major Mana Potions.

Players with Mining or Herbalism professions will of course make more gold at these locations as there are some quite valuable herbs and minerals that spawn in these areas. Miners will find Rich Thorium and Small Thorium as well as Mithril Deposits in both of these areas.

Herbalists will find Plaguebloom, Mountain Silversage and Dreamfoil most commonly in the area, all three of which are used in some of the most in demand potions/flasks. Skinning is the only profession that won't benefit from anything out here, as nothing can be skinned.
