Gelkis Clan Centaur in Desolace Silk Cloth Farming

The Gelkis Clan Centaur are a great place to farm Silk Cloth in Desolace. Here you will find a ton of Gelkis centaur, one of the two centaur factions of Desolace. Both the Gelkis and Magram centaur are roughly the same levels so there will be virtually no difference between the two. Both camps have roughly the same amount of centaur as well. During your questing through Desolace you will be forced to choose a side between both factions of centaur, you can either go Gelkis or Magram. It doesn't really matter which because there is nothing special between either of them. However, if you choose Gelkis you won't be able to kill the Gelkis centaur, obviously.

You will be forced to kill only the Magram centaur in order to raise your Gelkis reputation. Same works for the Magram centaur. This will probably be the only deciding factor in your camp if you're a lower level player and also is the reason why I documented both locations. Also as a side note and most likely the only annoyance of this camp is that the centaur that are casters walk around with pet Earth Elementals, which drop no loot but on the upside they are very squishy. For what its worth, the Magram don't have an annoying Earth Elemental like this. As far as gathering tradeskills go you will occasionally find a vein here, mostly of Iron but sometimes gold. As far as herbs go, the only herb I have seen here is Wild Steelbloom.

For chests, Gelkis Village used to have chests prior to the Cataclysm, so I don't see why it wouldn't now. However when I was farming here I didn't see anything so I am not 100% sure as to chests being here or not. Who knows, maybe you'll get surprised and run into one while farming here!
