Bloodsail Pirates in The Cape of Stranglethorn

Another great location for players to farm Silk Cloth is at the Bloodsail Pirates in The Cape of Stranglethorn. The pirates litter the coast to the east and south of Booty Bay as well as a few surrounding islands. If you look at the map you will see three boats to the southeast of Booty Bay, these boats also all have pirates on them which you can kill for Silk Cloth, some of them probably even dropping Mageweave if they are much higher level. However, it is highly unlikely that you will even have time to travel over to the boats at the lower levels.

The shore is just jampacked with pirates all with pretty fast respawn timers, so it will be highly unlikely that you run out of mobs. Just about the only bad thing I can think about this location is if you're going for the Insane in the Membrane achievement at some point in time since killing these Bloodsail Pirates nukes your Bloodsail Buccaneer reputation. It doesn't severly nuke it but it will require you to grind much more at the later levels when you decide it is time to go for the achievement. But, if it is something you don't care about then this locations is great!

As far as gathering professions go you will find an occasional Iron Ore deposit as well as Liferoot which spawns on the shore to the south of the pirates. Besides these two things I have not seen anything else spawn in this area.
