Mageweave Cloth Farming in Burning Steppes

Firegut Reaver

Quite possibly one of the oldest farming locations in the game that is actually still around today, the Blackrock Orcs in Burning Steppes. Although back in Classic WoW they dropped Runecloth and were in the mid 50s instead of 40s, the fact of the matter is that they are still around now. There are two areas where players can farm the Blackrock Orcs of Burning Steppes. One is Blackrock Stronghold in the northern portion of the zone and the second is Black Tooth Hovel to the south of the stronghold.

Blackrock Stronghold is more well known than the hovel and is much better if you want to AoE farm rather than get all single pulls. And by AoE Farm, I am not joking with this place. There are three packs of at least 20 mobs a piece standing outside of the stronghold which a higher level player will be able to easily mow down and loot up without having to worry about dieing. However, someone in their 50s would get their face punched in by these packs of mobs.

As far as Black Tooth Hovel goes, there are dozens of Orcs, Trolls and Ogres that spawn in this area as well as a few different herbs and a few mines. Black Tooth Hovel is most likely the only thing you will be able to solo in this zone if you are in your late 40s or early 50s. The Blackrock Stronghold is a superior farming location in every way but if you can't handle any of the three giant packs here then it isn't even worth coming up here.

Or if you don't have any gathering professions you will be happy to hear that tons of chests also can spawn throughout the orc encampment. There are at least 5 or 6 different spawn locations for the chests so just keep an eye out and you should spot one sooner or later. Also much like the Dustbelch Ogres in Burning Steppes sister zone, these orcs are extremely squishy and can be burned down hellishly fast. The only downside about these orcs is the fact that they are so spread out. I guess for some classes (ones that can't AoE) the orcs being spread out would actually be beneficial, but for a lot of us it is a downside.
