Olympic Summer Games is a multi-sport video game released in 1996 to coincide with the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games. Developed by Silicon Dreams and published by U.S. Gold, the game features a variety of Olympic events including track and field, shooting, archery, weightlifting, fencing, and swimming. Players can compete in events such as javelin, discus, long jump, high jump, pole vault, as well as sprint races like the 100-meter and 400-meter dashes.
The gameplay mechanics are reminiscent of classic sports games like Track & Field, requiring players to rapidly press buttons to perform actions. The game offers different modes such as Olympic and Arcade modes, as well as a Practice mode. Additionally, it supports multiplayer for up to eight players, provided enough Multi-Taps and gamepads are available.
