Caledor Woods

Caledor Woods is a Dark Elf and High Elf Tier 4 scenario. The zone "Caledor" must be contested in order to participate in this scenario. The game type played in this scenario is King of the Hill. You must capture and hold the objective to accumulate Victory Points. The first team to reach 500 points, or the team with the most points after 15 minutes wins.

Hold an Enemies Objective: 3 Points every 5 seconds
Kill an Enemy: 2 Points
Duration: 15 Minutes
Levels: 28 - 40

 

Things To Keep In Mind

- Your main priority is to hold the "Hill", Focus on killing other players as a after thought.

- If you do push the enemy team back to their spawn point, make sure they have no way of sneaking around you to get to the hill.

- Just north and south of the hill there are two Dragon's Essences. These will increase the damage you deal and also put a DoT on you.

 

Strategies

Normal: You will start off by rushing to the first base, which is in the basin in the middle of the map. Get near the flag and push your enemies away. If you cap it, push them closer to their base, if not defend your final flag.

Strategic: Have 4-5 people from your team circle around and flank the enemies healers and squishy casters at the start of the match. This will catch them off guard and may allow you to beat their team quickly.

Tanks: As always, get as close to the flag as possible, as quickly as possible.

Melee DPS: Same as tanks, but only leave the flag if you see potential to kill someone.

Ranged DPS: Pick off the healers from a distance or assist the Melee in anyone who is low HP.

Healers: Keep everyone alive starting from those closest to the flag and work your way out.

 

Maximizing Renown

Maximizing your renown in Caledor Woods is fairly basic. Since It's king of the hill you will be earning a lot of XP and Renown from kills alone. Your primary focus however should be capturing the hill and pushing the enemy back to their base.
