Archaeology Missions
Archaeology rewards players with Color Crystals, Power Crystals, and Artifact Fragments. This page includes a list of all the most common Archaeology missions available with 400 Archaeology. Below each mission picture is a brief explanation and a picture of the item you are rewarded.
Worth doing if you need Artifact Fragments. Artifact Fragments are used in both Synthweaving and Artifice for many different recipes. If you're getting at all short on farming Artifact Fragments it's important that you begin to run any Artifact Fragment missions. Be sure to run the one with the highest yield though if you have more than two Artifact Missions.
This mission is worth running if you need Grade 6 Color Crystals. You will be rewarded with either Red, Green or Blue Grade 6 Crystals for completing this mission which can all be used for recipes that involve Artifice. If you're a Synthweaver you will want to be running Power Crystal missions instead.
Note: Also since this mission rewards an "Abundant Yield" I recommend running this before any "Moderate Yield" missions.
This mission is worth running if you are in need of Grade 6 Power Crystals. You will be rewarded with Upari Crystals as they are the only Grade 6 Power Crystals. Upari Crystals are used in recipes for Synthweaving and certain Artifice recipes. Since these are the only crystals used in two different types of recipes they generally have two missions per tier of Archaeology.
Cortosis Substrates are used in almost every Synthweaving and Artifice recipe there is for max level, but, they can be purchased from a Crew Skills Vendor; meaning wasting your time on a 30 minute mission for these is something you really shouldn't do. I don't think I could ever recommend running this mission.
