A Corpse Freezer in Rimworld is used to store the bodies of animals before they get butchered. Usually you'll want to build your Corpse Freezer near the kitchen to reduce travel time to and from these areas but it isn't required that you do so. You don't want to build the Butcher Table inside the Kitchen because it'll make the Kitchen dirty and increase the odds of food poisoning.

Depending on your map the Corpse Freezer doesn't need to be very big. If you don't hunt a lot of Wildlife for food then you won't need a big freezer to store all the bodies. The freezer you see in the screenshot above is larger than I need it to be, the chances of me ever filling the entire thing would be very low.
