Don't Starve Together Guides and Walkthroughs

The Lureplant boat farm is one of the best constant food farms you can have in Don't Starve Together. Anyone who has been playing this game long enough probably has already seen Lureplants out in the world and maybe even collected a few of them. For this farm method you'll need as many Lureplants as you can find and a few Boards to make some boats.

When a Lureplant is placed on a boat it will not spawn the annoying eyes around it which means we can safely harvest the Leafy Meat without any issue. The same is true when you place a Lureplant on any tile that it's incompatible with - it doesn't have to be a boat. Cobblestone works as do various other tiles that you can place with a Pitchfork, however I do recommend using a boat instead.

After being planted a Lureplant will produce one Leafy Meat every 2 days and dangle it from its tendril. Really all you need to do is walk up to the plant and take the Leafy Meat with a right click (make sure no weapon is equipped or you'll attack it instead). Keep in mind that as the Leafy Meat is dangling from the Lureplant it'll be rotting too. Which means if you wait too long you'll get spoiled or stale food instead.

One tip that I can give you is to cook the Leafy Meat before you use it in the Crockpot if it's stale/about to expire. Cooking it will increase the spoilage timer of the Leafy Meat and maybe even change it from stale/spoiled to something fresh. The spoilage timer of ingredients matter when cooking in the Crockpot too. For example, if you cook a Leafy Meatloaf with 2 Leafy Meats that are about to expire - the Leafy Meatloaf will also be about to expire. Therefore increasing the spoilage timer of ingredients before cooking is a good idea to buy yourself more time.

In my experience the only downside of this farm method is the fact that you have to wait so long ingame to do it. Setting up this Lureplant farm on Year 1 is pretty much impossible because you won't find enough Lureplants to do it. You can only start this farm on Year 2 assuming that you spend enough time above ground to make Lureplants spawn in the first place.

Now, as far as cooking the Leafy Meat goes there are two recipes that I strongly recommend to you. Leafy Meatloaf and Beefy Greens are my two favorite recipes to make with the Leafy Meat. Beefy Greens take more resources to make but they heal you for 40 Health which is the same as the best health food in the game, Pierogi. The Leafy Meatloaf is what you'll want to make if all you care about is restoring your hunger OR if you want to conserve your resources.

Leafy Meatloaf can be made with 2 Leafy Meat and 2 filler (which includes) Twigs. Normally whenever I am making Leafy Meatloaf I will use 2 Leafy Meat and 2 Twigs for the recipe.
