Bearger is the Autumn world boss in Don't Starve Together, players will generally see him for the first time on their second year since he will not spawn during the first year's Autumn. If you are at your base when Bearger spawns he will typically make his way over to your fridge as quickly as possible.

When Bearger does spawn he will roam around the area of his spawn indefinitely unless you agro him and bring him somewhere else. It's actually possible to spawn Bearger in a secluded part of the world (or drag him to a secluded spot) and leave him there. During the Spring and Winter months Bearger will be in a hibernation of sorts where he sleeps all day every day.

If you wake Bearger while he is sleeping he'll yawn and put everyone around him to sleep - then proceed to attack the person who woke him up. Typically Bearger will attack once or twice then fall asleep again making it extremely annoying to fight him during these months.

Despite it being really easy to kite Bearger to a remote part of the world and leave him there indefinitely - I don't actually recommend you do this. Bearger is the best boss to use for Log and Living Log farming since he can destroy a large amount of trees with relative ease.

The best strategy for Bearger in my opinion is to kite him to a nearby Evergreen forest and drag him through trees until Treeguards spawn. Depending on how many Treeguards spawn Bearger will either win a battle or two - or be eliminated in under a minute. One Treeguard is almost enough to defeat Bearger alone if it's a full grown one, the smaller ones will typically get destroyed by Bearger pretty easily.
