Horadric Cube Charm and Amulet Gambling
3 Perfect Gems (Any Type) + 1 Magic Item = New Magic Item of Same Type
When you hear about gambling in Diablo 2 with Magic Items most people are probably talking about this recipe. To explain what this recipe does in a better way, it basically just rerolls the stats on an item. People like to do this with Charms to see if they can get anything good as well as with Amulets to see if they can get one for +2 to Skills. For more information about Gambling for Charms and Amulets with the Horadric Cube follow the link provided.
3 Magic Rings = 1 Random Magic Amulet
The formula for determining the ilvl of the amulet made is (.75 * Character level). This means if your character is level 99 the level of the amulet created will be 74. All amulets with +2 skills on them have an ilvl of 90 which means it is impossible to get one from this recipe. In order to make an amulet with +2 Skills you'll need to use the gambling recipe on this page.
3 Magic Amulets = 1 Random Magic Ring
The formula for determining the ilvl of the ring made is (.75 * Character level). This means if your character is level 99 the level of the ring created will be 74.
6 Perfect Gems (1 of each type) + 1 Amulet (Magic) = Prismatic Amulet
Prismatic Amulet has the Prismatic prefix which increases All Resist by 16 - 20. There is a chance you can get a suffix on this amulet as well but it is random. ilvl = 50 of the amulet created.
1 Perfect Emerald + 1 Magic Ring + 1 Antidote Potion = Jade Ring
Jade Ring comes with 21 - 30% Poison Resistance and may come with an additional suffix as well. ilvl = 30 of the Ring created.
1 Perfect Ruby + 1 Magic Ring + 1 Exploding Potion = Garnet Ring
Garnet Ring comes with 21 - 30% Fire Resistance and may come with an additional suffix as well. ilvl = 30 of the Ring created.
1 Perfect Topaz + 1 Magic Ring + 1 Rejuvenation Potion = Coral Ring
Coral Ring comes with 21 - 30% Lightning Resistance and may come with an additional suffix as well. ilvl = 30 of the Ring created.
1 Perfect Sapphire + 1 Magic Ring + 1 Thawing Potion = Cobalt Ring
Cobalt Ring comes with 21 - 30% Cold Resistance and may come with an additional suffix as well. ilvl = 30 of the Ring created.
3 Perfect Skulls + 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan = Add 1 Socket to Rare Item
You can only add 1 socket to a Rare item that doesn't already have a socket in it; attempting to add an additional socket in an item already with one will not work. Additionally you can't socket an item that is unable to have sockets.
1 Perfect Skull + 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan = 1 High Quality Rare Item
This recipe has a chance of creating a higher quality rare than the item you used in the craft. The formula used to determine the item made is... ## (.66 * Character Level) + ## (.66 * Original item ilvl) = ilvl of the new item. Your character level and the input item's ilvl are both rounded down.
Q: How do I see the ilvl of an item? In order to tell the ilvl of an item you need to know where it dropped. For more information about this check the Diablo 2 wiki on Area Level.
