Almar's Everquest Farming Guides (55 - 60) This section has Farming Guides that will most benefit you between the levels of 55 and 60. All of these farming locations are worth while past level 60 but levels 55 - 60 are the first levels you can come here. Two locations that I carried over from the 50 - 55 Farming Locations are the Giants in Rathe Mountains and the Goru'kar Mesa Animals, both locations are still good through this level bracket. Unlike the other level Brackets this one is an important one since it introduces many new great zones. Zones like Skyshrine, Karnors, Grieg's End and Droga become farmable in this level range. Each of these zones are great for farming and will only get better as you level up and can handle more mobs, especially Skyshrine and Grieg's End. As you get up higher in level, get better gear and more AAs you will be able to pull tons more mobs in these two zones. In both of these zones you can create trains of 100 mobs or more and not worry about running out. As seen in the other farming sections, an example of the format I will use to show you each of the farming locations can be found below. Spiderling Silk - Cresent Reach (1 - 10) (This link will be clickable and will take you to the page for the Farming Location.) To prevent any confusion about the AA Prerequisite section, the "Important" AAs that I am talking about refer to the defensive AAs. These include Combat Agility, Combat Stability, Natural Durability, Physical Enhancement and so on and so forth. All of these are very important for you to get and should be acquired very early on. Of course if you're a caster you'll want to make sure you are able to take a beating or have the best pet available to you at the time. No one will know your limits better than you, so keep that in mind. Almar's Everquest Farming Guides Now that you know how to use the Farming Guides, here is a list of each of them for this level bracket. Please note that they are placed in order based on level, not how much plat they will make you per hour. Karnors Castle Grieg's End Droga Nagafen's Lair Skyshrine Levels 60+
Skyshrine is a zone right off Cobalt Scar. The mobs in this zone have a HUGE agro radius, but very few see invis. This is one of my favorite farming zones since there is a bank and vendors right inside of the zone itself. This zone is so big that there really isn't a "Best" place to farm in it, but I usually always farm the upper levels. PP Per Hour Estimate: 2,500 to 3,000 Average Plat Per Kill: 3-5pp Items of Interest: Items That Aren't Worth A Damn: Goru'kar Mesa Animals 60+
The Animals in Goru'kar Mesa make a great farming spot in the 60's, and even after that. They drop High Quality pelts that sell in the Bazaar very well. Along with Teeth and Glands that sell to vendors for upwords of 35pp each. There are an infinite amount of animals around and I don't even think if you're level 80 you can plow through them all fast enough to not have any up. There are also vendors in the zone for you to sell to. If you're un familiar with Goru'kar Mesa, where the vendor is and where the animals are take a quick look at my map below;
PP Per Hour Estimate: 2,500 to 4,000 Items of Interest: Items That Aren't Worth A Damn: Lower Guk 55+
Lower Guk is a great place to make some extra cash in your 50's. Chances are when exploring Lower Guk you will get lost, which is really just part of farming here. You will find that your inventory fills up fast with goodies and you will have to start destroying stuff to make room. Keep the Fine Steel Weapons, they're your money makers here. Aside from of course the plat per kill. PP Per Hour Estimate: 2,200 to 2,500 Items of Interest: Items That Aren't Worth A Damn: |
