Spider Silk Farming Guide (39 - 42)

Spider Silk, much like Spiderling Silk is another great item for you to farm for cash at the lower levels. Spider Silk generally sells for the same amount as Spiderling Silk. The main difference is that Spiders are higher level then Spiderlings, meaning you will need to be higher level to farm them. The best part about these Spiders is you will be able to farm them and get XP at the same time, which is win, win. Also, much like the other animals in Goru'kar Mesa, or insects I guess in this case, they drop items that sell to the vendor for a lot. The two items that vendor for a lot from the spiders are the Pearlescent Spider Fang and Intricately Patterned Spider Carapace.

On top of those two items you will always want to hold onto any Spider Silk that you find. This of course can be sold in The Bazaar for, on average 1 - 5pp each. Generally putting it up for 1 will get it to sell quickly and considering you will get a few every kill it is a nice bonus. The best part about these Spiders in Goru'kar Mesa is that when you kill one of them it will split into close to 6 Spiderlings. Each of the Spiderlings is very low level and doesn't hit hard at all but they do drop Spiderling Silk. Usually 1 - 3 to per kill. Being able to get Spider Silk and Spiderling Silk in the same location is just pure awesome!
