Almar's Everquest Farming Guides (1 - 49)

This section will give you Farming Guides that will most benefit you if you are between the levels of 1 and 49. Each of these guides will help any new or returning players earn cash for spells, supplies and gear. When you reach level 50 there is a slew of new and different farming locations that open up, most of which are better than the ones in this level bracket. The only two locations in this level bracket that could even remotely be considered worth while past level 50 is the Giants in Rathe Mountains and the Animals in Goru'kar Mesa.

Both of these locations are worth it for a good twenty levels to come. The Goru'kar Mesa Animals are actually worth it well past level 40 and even still at 85. They drop teeth/pelts/pancreases that are worth a lot of money at the vendor and in The Bazaar. And of course, the higher level you get the easier they become to kill, thus the more money you'll make an hour. Also since there is a vendor in the zone it just makes it that much better. Below I have created a list of all the farming locations in this level range. An example of the format I will use to show you each of the farming locations can be found below.

Spiderling Silk - Cresent Reach (1 - 10) (This link will be clickable and will take you to the page for the Farming Location.)
AA Prerequisite: 0 (Tells you how many well placed AAs you should have before coming here.)
Damage Dealt: 1 - 10 (Tells you how much damage you can expect the mobs to do.)
XP At Location: Yes (Tells you if you will get XP here in the designated level bracket that I gave.)
PP Per Hour: 150 - 200 PP (Tells you how much Plat you will make an hour.)
PP Per Kill: 0 (Tells you how much Plat you will make per Kill. *Raw Plat only*)
Mercenary Requirement: No (Tells you if you will need a Mercenary to hunt here.)
Classes: All (Tells you what classes can hunt here.)
Other: This is really the first location for farming (Gives you any additional information about the location.)

To prevent any confusion about the AA Prerequisite section, the "Important" AAs that I am talking about refer to the defensive AAs. These include Combat Agility, Combat Stability, Natural Durability, Physical Enhancement and so on and so forth. All of these are very important for you to get and should be acquired very early on. Of course if you're a caster you'll want to make sure you are able to take a beating or have the best pet available to you at the time. No one will know your limits better than you, so keep that in mind.

Almar's Everquest Farming Guides

Now that you know how to use the Farming Guides, here is a list of each of them for this level bracket. Please note that they are placed in order based on level, not how much plat they will make you per hour.

Spiderling Silk - Cresent Reach (1 - 10)
AA Prerequisite: 0
Damage Dealt: 1 - 10
XP At Location: Yes
PP Per Hour: 150 to 200pp
PP Per Kill: 0
Mercenary Requirement: No
Classes: All
Other: This is really the first location for farming, The Spiderling Silk will need to be sold in The Bazaar to make any money.

Hill Giants In Rathe Mountains (30 - 35)
AA Prerequisite: 0
Damage Dealt: 35 - 80
XP At Location: Yes
PP Per Hour: 550 to 1,000pp
PP Per Kill: 1 - 30
Mercenary Requirement: Yes
Classes: All
Other: This location is best known for being the EQ ATM Machine. The Hill Giants drop a good amount of plat each and every kill and can be found abundantly all over the land scape.

Animals in Goru'kar Mesa (30 - 35)
AA Prerequisite: 0
Damage Dealt: 45 - 125
XP At Location: Yes
PP Per Hour: 550 to 1,000pp
PP Per Kill: 0
Mercenary Requirement: Yes
Classes: All
Other: This is one of the very few locations that can be farmed by almost any level bracket and still make great amount of cash, a lot of the cash comes from the mob drops which can be vendored in the zone but each of the mobs can also drop High Quality and Medium Quality pelts, which you can sell in The Bazaar for a pretty penny

Rockhoppers in Dawnshroud Peaks and Marus Seru (35 - 40)

Damage Dealt: 20 - 80
XP At Location: Yes/No
PP Per Hour: 250 to 750pp
PP Per Kill: 0

Other: For this location there are two sets of Rockhoppers for you to farm, The ones in Dawnshroud are the higher level ones with the best drop rate and the ones in Marus Seru are much lower level with a much lower drop rate. As said on the page the Rockhoppers in Dawnshroud share a cave with Sambata's meaning they will not always be spawned. You can fix this by killing the Sambata named.

Spiders in Goru'kar Mesa (39 - 42)

Damage Dealt: 30 - 175
XP At Location: Yes/No
PP Per Hour: 250 to 800pp

Other: There are only two items from the Spiders that you will need to sell in The Bazaar to make money and they are Spider Silk and Spiderling Silk.
